Little Rock, AR (August 13, 2024) – Jean Block, CEO of Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority, has been elected to the National Association of Clean Water Agencies’ (NACWA) governing body. This appointment was confirmed during the recent NACWA Utility Leadership Conference in Buffalo, NY.
Block will serve an at-large, three-year term on the Board, contributing her expertise to the Association’s mission. Her election underscores LRWRA’s commitment to environmental stewardship and protecting public health through sustainable water management practices.
Now more than ever, clean water agencies collaborate with peers through national organizations like NACWA, embracing and implementing innovative approaches to advance sustainable clean water practices and public health protection. NACWA’s Board guides the Association’s advocacy, programs, and initiatives, which help member agencies improve clean water services to their local communities and sustain the nation’s vital clean water needs.
Block is the sixth CEO and the first woman to lead Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority, which is the largest wastewater utility in the state – serving more than 202,000 residents.
